The 1904-1905 Reedley Deneens were a shining example of a sponsored youth baseball team in the Central Valley. Sponsored by Marion Deneen’s butcher shop, the team donned all-black uniforms with a striking “Deneens” block-letter logo across the chest. A close proximity to the towns of Laton and Parlier suggests matches against their respective clubs happened fairly often.
